Do we Sell our Soul to the Devil?

The Book of Revelation explains how this is possible, even of those who think: No way!

In my book exploring the meaning of The Revelation I explain how this is possible without our knowing it.

“’I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear what you are about to suffer.” Rev 2:9-10

“Our consciousness pushes beyond the boundaries just like roots and shoots push beyond the shell of the seed.

At this stage the plant is at its most vulnerable so no wonder we meet Satan and the devil. Our sprouting consciousness encounters the adversary, satanas, and the accuser, diabolos. We find these two beings in esoteric teachings described as Ahriman and Lucifer respectively. They each have their own specific qualities and roles and if we are to develop our spiritual consciousness we must learn how to identify them. Otherwise they will kill our sprouting seed. As the roots and sprout gain strength by pushing through the soil, so we are strengthened as we resist the distractions that come from the activity of these forces. St John writes that we must conquer these challenges if our consciousness is to survive the second death.

The second death is when our soul frees itself from its purely earthly consciousness. This is a very vulnerable stage. If we are not in control when our soul begins to experience spiritual consciousness then the adversary and the accuser can take over our soul. This is where the idea of selling our soul to the devil comes from.” Chapter 2 The Virgin and The Harlot

I think from time to time, we all need a reminder in this department! I’m all for staying positive, but in this world you WILL have ‘tribulation’…,put it to good work i say and determine to steer the boat in the right direction.
As always, terrific writing Miss Kristina : )
